I was 5 when I heard the terrible news – My uncle had died in a tragic accident after flipping his car into Slippery Creek, leaving behind my two cousins and my pregnant Aunty, the sister of my mother. My cousin was born on the 4th day the following September. I was seven when I found out that my Step-Dad was not my biological father - my father had been killed in a tragic motorbike accident while my mother was still pregnant with me. I was born the 2nd day of the following September. Both my late father and my late uncle were best friends, like brothers. This song is about time with our loved ones and how it can be cut tragically short.
